FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Why do you love writing?

Because it’s both a release and an escape for my anxious mind. Sometimes the urge to tell a story is so strong I can’t do anything else if I don’t write it down. Other times, I have no idea what to write. But regardless, if it’s just a blog post or for a WIP, writing has always been a therapeutic response to my chaotic life.

  1. What book inspired you to write?

The book that inspired me to write was one that a lot of loved growing up. Though I no longer support the author, the world they created was instrumental in my love for writing and making up things in my head.

  1. When did you first publish a piece of work, whether it be online or in print?

In the Spring of 2018, I published one short story and three poems in the East Fork: A Journal of the Arts. It is a student led online literary journal at UC Blue Ash.

  1. Do you only read and write horror?

No. I read romance (usually wlw or mlm), mystery/thrillers, and sometimes nonfiction.

  1. Can I be your beta/alpha reader?

If you’d like to be a beta/alpha reader, follow me on instagram @_itzbriannawrites. If and when I’m searching for some, I’ll be sure to contact you.

  1. Are you going the traditional route or the self-published route?

I think it depends on where I am when I decide to start querying. I think being an hybrid writer might work best for me in the event that there are stories I want to write that might fit one avenue better than the other. Of course, this response could change tomorrow so I guess the best answer is…wait and see. ;)
